Rexellent Marquee for Lyme Regis Fossil Festival
Marquee Elegance was thrilled to be asked to provide the structures for the Lyme Regis fossil festival for the second year running.
The Festival, which aims to get young people interested in science, is held in Lyme Regis every April. It holds a prime location, just metres from the beautiful Jurassic coastline.
Danny Roberts, MD of Marquee Elegance, said that the crew enjoyed this challenging job; 'we had to get all the equipment through some pretty narrow streets and deal with the elements on the coast. The project came together brilliantly despite these obstacles and we were proud of what we achieved'.
The Fossil Festival boasts talks from scientists from the Natural History Museum, Paleontological Association and the National Trust (to name but a few) as well as stall holders so three impressive marquees were needed to house them all. Each structure used Marquee Elegance's hardwood flooring system and featured Fire Exits so that they were compliant with regulations.
MD Danny was pleased to be involved; 'The event is a great day out for all the family and a fantastic way to entertain dinosaur enthusiasts. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful and historical county.'
